Key Accountabilities
Market Knowledge & Research
- Build and maintain a country file for each country containing key market knowledge required to maintain and grow the business.
- Develop knowledge of the relevant brands in the market and their products including their unique selling points, usage and differences to your portfolio.
- Upload and ensure the accuracy of customer in-market sales data and the filing of all important customer information.
- Analyse customer in-market sales data to report on performance vs. target and highlight gaps in performance.
Sales Export Management
- Prepare and maintain customer profiles including business parameters, pricing, product portfolio and compliance.
- Prepare for and track the registration of products in markets where required.
- Prepare export / demand forecasts for customers based on customer in-market sales and inventory data.
- Coordinate and drive the sales order process internally end to end ensuring shipment on time to customers.
- Facilitate in dispatching trade marketing materials required as part of regular customer shipments.
Customer Service & Follow Up
- Following up with customers to obtain all necessary in-market sales information and other required reports.
- Follow through on customer and consumer complaints ensuring timely responses.
- Arrange and dispatch product samples to/from clients for testing or listing.
- Provide customers with regular updates on order status, finances, demand forecasts and performance.
Finance and Control
- Manage payment terms and follow through on the settlement and compliance of customers to those terms to ensure all instruments are in place for orders.
- Book, process and reconcile debit notes against advertising and promotion budgets.
- Support in updating and adjusting pricing structures based on inputs from the sales team.
- Ensure invoicing and vendor accounts are reconciled, and all dues are paid or received from customers.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Education
- A bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, business administration, finance or relevant field
Experience
- Minimum entry level experience of up to 2 years with any knowledge gained in Sales or Marketing, Export or Supply Chain, Customer Service, Finance and Procurement would be an advantage.
