Reporting to the Head of Quality, you will be responsible for managing Food Safety and Quality prerequisite programs in accordance with ISO22000/FSSC22000 and other relevant standards. Additionally, you will perform sampling and testing on raw materials, packaging, and finished products as per approved specifications.
Key Accountabilities
Quality Assurance
• Ensure that all internal quality documentation, specifications, certificates (e.g., CoA), and procedures are updated, revised, and modified to meet the requirements of the company, customers, EU regulations, international standards, and external certification bodies.
• Manage all Quality Management systems (Total QM, QBD, etc.) and prerequisite programs (e.g., cleaning, document control, calibration control, supplier management, traceability, customer complaints as per the Quality Manual) to ensure compliance with local and international standards. Provide QMS support for supplier qualification and follow-up.
Quality Control
• Ensure timely and accurate sampling, testing, and release by cross-referencing with specifications or other testing requirements (including incoming and microbiology). Facilitate and coordinate external analyses utilizing subcontracted laboratories.
• Investigate and address non-conformances (inclusive of supplier/customer complaints) and perform root cause analyses. Oversee the exploration, validation, and implementation of analytical techniques.
• Provide technical and quality assistance and training to all FCP sites, contract manufacturers, suppliers, and operational staff as required. Ensure the proper maintenance and performance of laboratory instrumentation. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Education
MQF Level 5, Diploma in Food Science/Food technology (or related field)
Experience:
4+ years’ experience in QA/QC (preferably within food manufacturing operations)
