Assist and report to the Shipping & Documentation Team Leader, and take ownership of the department’s Export Operations Processes, whilst also being the first point of contact with Customs Authorities, Malta Freeport, and 3PL Partners for Cargo and Container Shipment Bookings, Coordination, management, movement, and Customs Clearance.
Key Accountabilities
- Management of Container Shifting & Yard Planning - Haulier Bill Vetting and Purchase Order creation.
- Planning & Booking Container Vessel Space Availability & Loading.
- Monitoring Container Voyage from Origin to Destination and on time clearance by Consignee.
- Management of Customs Bonded Warehouse and IPR Customs Reporting.
- Monitor / Record Documents on time dispatch and delivery whilst meeting customer requirements.
- Document Drafting, Vetting, Finalizing and Dispatch as per LC, Customer Requirements and FCP Standards.
- Interacting with 3PL partners, Embassies and Government Authorities.
- Invoice and Delivery Note Vetting, Reversal, and Posting as per FCP standards.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Operations, International Trade or equivalent.
Experience
- 2 years’ experience in shipping and freight forwarding
- Experience in LC processes would be considered an asset.
- Relevant operational experience at market/ business level, in the following areas:
- Physical Logistics (DC-Operations).
- Trade Terms.
- Customer Service.
